The museum will present permanent collection and rotating exhibitions for diverse public audiences which will feature illustrations, paintings, comic art, photography, and an in-depth exploration of the arts of filmmaking (including storyboards, costumes, animation, visual effects, and more). Extensive education programming designed for all ages will explore innovative ways for visitors to engage with narrative art.
In this project we were involved in modeling Expansion Joints and Moat Covers. The building construction area is seismically active, therefore these elements fulfill an important function in the building structure. Those elements designed to hold parts together while safely absorbing temperature-induced expansion and contraction of building materials, and vibration, or to allow movement due to ground settlement or seismic activity. Before expansion joint gaps were built into these structures, they would crack under the stress-induced. All elements are modeled at the LOD 400 level and coordinated with other elements to meet the high-quality standards of this project.
